Today was a early start, with a quick Skype session to mum and dad to catch up on all the gossip. :)
I ate a quick bite of breakfast and asked the cute guy working at reception how to get the ice off my car, out he came with a screwdriver to chip it all out from above the wheels so i had full movement again :) Unfortunately i didn't get his name, or his number but he was VERY helpful and quite nice :) When i jumped in my car the weather was a record "high" for my trip, coming in at 3 degrees above! It didn't last long though!
I firstly had to back track 10mins to look at Jokulsarlon, which is a lagoon filled with amazing ice sculptures that float out to sea. When i planned my day out i was undecided whether i would go back, well I'm glad i did because it was just sensational!

From here i headed to Hofn, which is pronounced like Hup ut you must also be inhaling! by the time i got here the roads where in ALOT better condition but the wind was crazy, i stopped of to get fuel and have a quick look around but didn't feel like being blown away today!
From here it was another stretch of driving with no towns, but awesome scenery. As it was still ridiculously windy i made sure i stopped every 25km's. I had lunch whilst on the road and arrived at my next nights accommodation a bit earlier than expected. I have had a lazy afternoon, doing a bit of washing, organising future accommodation and finally getting to read my book! i'm hoping the wind dies down so i can go for a walk around the little village, although they do serve both dinner and breakfast at the hotel so looks like I'm set till tomorrow!
